Everyone loves a Jeffrey!!

Jan. 3, 2012, Jeff Adkins life changed when a car turned left in front of him while riding his motorcycle to work. He didn’t have time to stop and suffered a T3 spinal cord injury. He is paralyzed from his nipple line down and now requires a wheelchair to get around. He needs the support of his family/friends during this life changing transition. Making progress

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of counting days. Every day is precious and another step in Jeff's recovery.

Latest news is that:

The mucus in Jeff's lungs is clearing, and there is a possibility that he'll get off the ventilator today (Thursday). Cross all your digits that this happens - he is very frustrated with it and he has a whole week of talking to catch up on.
Wednesday they did an MRI to see if spinal fluid was leaking - results expected Thursday.
He is more alert with each day.

I know that all our thoughts, prayers and love is giving him strength, so keep it coming. Amanda needs this army to support her.

Progress is the key word. I am sure hearing your voice again will bring a lot of comfort and support to Amanda. Stay strong and positive Jeff+family. Your work family here sure misses your presence.

April 11, 2012, Jeff fell backwards in his wheelchair and had to be rushed to the hospital via ambulance. The instant he hit the floor he lost function of his arms and hands. Suffering another major trauma bruising his spinal cord. Fortunately, he didn’t break anything or damage the hardware already in place. This is a MAJOR set back and all of the progress he’s made in the last 3-monts has been lost. He has another big fight ahead of him and he needs to find the strength to do it.
